Welcome to the OECM Customs Brokerage and Related Services website.

OECM is pleased to announce the award of an agreement for the provision of Customs Brokerage and Related Services to Thompson, Ahern International Company (Thompson Ahern).  

This agreement is available to School Boards, Colleges and Universities (SCUs) and other Broader Public Sector (BPS) organizations in Ontario.

Developed in collaboration with a cross sector working group, the agreement covers a four (4) year period with an option to extend the agreement for two (2) additional one (1) year terms.

Through this agreement, Thompson Ahern will provide a wide range of services including:

• - Customs brokerage services
• - Freight forwarding
• - Professional services
• - Other related services

 

Services offered by Thompson Ahern includes:

• Canadian and US customs clearance, at all entry ports
• On-line connectivity with Canada and U.S. Customs, for Electronic Data Interchange transmission
• GST remittance on behalf of Clients
• 24/7 customer support from a dedicated team of customs compliance experts
• Duty drawbacks and refunds
• NAFTA origin reviews
• Training and education of processes, emerging trends, and legislative requirements
• Fully integrated logistics services
• Freight forwarding: Less-than-truckload (LTL), truckload and specialized equipment to and from Canada
• Audit support services from Canada Border Services Agency
• Warehousing and distribution services throughout Canada and the U.S.
• Air and ocean services to and from North America
• Accounting, invoicing and reporting options such as monthly performance reports
