OECM is governed by a Board of Directors, comprised of:
- Three independent directors
- Two representatives from School Boards
- Two representatives from Colleges
- Two representatives from Universities
- Two Assistant Deputy Ministers from the stakeholder ministries
The Board of Directors has ten regular meetings per year, as well as an Annual General Meeting and a strategic planning session each year.
Directors volunteer their time and expertise to OECM with no financial remuneration.
Two OECM employees act as the Secretary and the Treasurer.
